Web

I probably should have thought about it better, but I just went for a bush walk with my dog a couple of days after rain and in the middle of spider season.
Fending off the leeches and bashing through the overgrown path, we ended up at a waterfall.
Stretched across the open space above where the creek became the fall, was the largest, most beautiful spider web hosting its proud owner.

Aren't spiders just so amazing that they take all this time and effort to create an intricately perfect temporary home?

Don't get me started on the giant arachnid I caught chilling out on the ground though...
I am 100% convinced he was only playing dead and actually lived under a trapdoor...
