Wool&Lycra

I saw a kid in what looked like a vintage one-piece at the pool today.
As a swimming teacher this was very refreshing.

And much better than the bikinis you see 5 year olds running around in these days.

Oh no. Does that make me a prude?

It's my birthday and I'll dance if I want to

So feel free to spoil me with

A bit of this:

And a bit of this:

And maybe some of these:

And because of the number I am turning I'll spend the whole day wearing a tutu.
Thank you.

Hats off

This racing season, I think the ladies should step out in a Stephen Jones hat.

Now that would turn some heads.

L-Ethereal

I am going to be spending all weekend patchworking the scraps and off-cuts of leather together into larger pieces from which to make some leather jackets and belts.
So when I saw this leather piece on Outsapop's blog, I was enthralled.

My leather pieces are nowhere near as outstanding as this...

Source 4 Style

Whyyyyyyyyyy didn't I know about this website 6 months ago when I started my sustainable collection?

http://source4style.com/

I mean it is New York based, but would've made my task of sourcing sustainable fabrics so much easier.

Crowded House

I miss the share house I lived in for a week in Germany after my rent ran out and I was homeless.
In fact, I just miss Germany and everyone I knew there.

I want to go home.

Down to Business

I've almost finished writing my business plan.

So, let's get down to business.

El Dorado

Berlin in the 1920s- The rise of communism, Goebels, Hitler and discrimination based on race, religion, sexual orientation, and beliefs.

In a small section of the city, the gays, transvestites, transsexuals, dancers and creative types congregate together and drink, socialise and entertain.

The El Dorado Cabaret club offers them a sanctuary to be themselves. Marlene Dietrich sings and Anita Berber dances and poses, offering themselves to the night.

In 1933, after reforms and curfews had already been imposed on the club, El Dorado was shut down and converted into a Nazi local headquarters.

Today, it is a supermarket.

Oh Berlin, Ich liebe dich.
