There'll be days like this

Sometimes I feel like I'm trying to blend in, but just don't quite succeed.

Other times I swear little pieces of me fly off, scattering in the wind to find new places to settle, tired of being ignored or mistreated by me.

There are days when I am just a shadow. Struggling to exist, I am caught between the elements that can make me appear or disappear.

Then there are those days where I feel totally smothered by the world, covered in its dust and residue, unable to come up for air.
And then there are todays. Those are the ones where I want to be a part of it, without having to actually be a part of it.
I think I'm just going to crawl into a corner and watch the world go by from there.
