Quite possibly my favourite thing to come out of France, apart of course from Edith Piaf and pastry, would have to be the art of Toulouse Lautrec.
The way he captured people in an almost cartoon manner brought out their personalities in ways unexpected.
I would love it if a full on illustration of mine was even half as prolific as one of his rough sketches.
I have a number of his posters around my house, the one below in my studio area and what sparked my urge to delve into Lautrec's work now.
